Yehuda Heller, LCSW

Welcome

Glad you’re here.

If you’ve found your way to this page, there’s a good chance you’ve already spent some time thinking, searching, wondering, or carrying something that feels important.

In my work, I try to create a space where people can slow down, be honest about what’s going on, and explore whatever they’re facing without judgment or pressure.

You don’t need to arrive with anything figured out. Many people reach out before they fully understand what’s bringing them in, or have the words to clearly articulate it.

We can start wherever you are.

Below, you’ll find a little more about the kinds of challenges people bring in, how I approach the work, and what working together might look like.

Thank you for taking the time to explore. I hope that whether we end up working together or not, something here helps you feel a little more clear, hopeful, or supported in whatever you’re navigating.

About Yehuda

My interest in this work didn’t begin in graduate school.

It began much earlier, through my own experiences with therapy, personal growth, and trying to understand the ways difficult experiences can shape how we relate to ourselves and the people around us.

Over the past fifteen years, I’ve spent a great deal of time exploring both the psychological and somatic sides of healing, first in my own life, and later through professional training, clinical practice, education, mindfulness, outdoor programs, and community work.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with people in therapy offices, schools, camps, gardens, classrooms, and community settings. Across those different environments, I’ve noticed something consistent:

People tend to grow when they feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to stay engaged, and challenged enough to move forward.

My goal isn’t to position myself as the expert on your life.

It’s to help you develop a clearer relationship with your own thoughts, emotions, values, and experiences so that you can navigate life with greater confidence, fluidity, and self-trust.

What brings people in

Some of the things we work on together.

People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes it’s anxiety. Sometimes it’s a relationship that feels stuck. Sometimes it’s ADHD, burnout, parenting, a major life transition, or the lingering impact of traumatic experiences.

Beneath those concerns, many people are wrestling with something similar.

They feel caught in patterns they may understand intellectually, but can’t seem to change.

They spend a lot of energy fighting their thoughts, emotions, or circumstances, and aren’t sure how to move forward.

They want to feel more grounded, more connected to themselves, and more able to respond to life with intention rather than reaction.

How I work

At your pace, tailored to your needs.

I keep the room warm, present, and honest.

Some days that means slowing down and making space for something difficult. Other days it means challenging a pattern that’s keeping you stuck.

Sometimes we’ll spend time understanding where a particular belief, fear, or reaction came from. Other times we’ll focus on building the awareness and skills needed to move through it so you can move forward with your life.

I draw from mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and somatically informed approaches.

At times that might look like noticing what’s happening in your thoughts. Other times it might mean paying attention to what you’re feeling in your body, your relationships, or your day-to-day life.

The approach matters, but it’s never the point.

The point is helping you understand yourself more clearly, respond to life’s challenges with greater steadiness and self-trust, and move forward in a way that feels authentic to you. A lot of what we struggle with lives in patterns we’ve picked up over time, in family, work, relationships, and the way we talk to ourselves. Together, we’ll work to see those patterns more clearly, understand how they’re shaping your life, and create more space for choice in how you respond.
